Even nerds dig all the colorful leaves and crisp air currents blowing round. While warming up to a nice Peppermint Mocha and some free Mexican coffee, we piled up and discussed the following:
- Hosting - since the GoDaddy meltdown a couple weeks ago, some of us are getting gunshy on the registrar leaders. Some have opted for MediaTemple for registering but hear-tell they are quite stinky in the hosting department.
- RDIO - Greg says we should check this out. It's supposed to be like Spotify but with a much cooler interface.
- Skitch is a cool app that lets you take quick clips of stuff on your laptop and then mark them up with super easy tools. It also saves nicely in EverNote.
- A tip for iPhone users: stop your location services or it will eat your battery.
- A tip for all cell phone folks: check your bills, there seems to be a lot of fraudelent charges these days.
- People seem to be less Apple zealots and are open to other brand names. For example: Greg found a Visio Windows laptop that looks a lot like a Mac Air but for less than $600. He digs it, but the mousepad sucks.
- Randy met his first Microsoft zealot who didn't work for Microsoft. Weird, what is this world coming to...
